Cousin love!

This is another "rewind" post...

A few months back, we met up with the T side of our family for dinner to catch up and enjoy a little time before a new baby girl cousin joins the crowd!  It was so sweet to see our girl hanging out with her cousin B!  They are only a few months apart in age but we still had to remind our girl to be gentle with B!  They are such fun, busy, sweet kiddos! 

Rewind: Beach Trip 2012

I've neglected this blog and I really want to be better about keeping up with it so... here's a rewind to our Beach Trip!

We decided to wait until after our girl's big birthday celebration to head to the beach this year!  We got a great deal on a condo for the entire week and had a great time!  At the beginning of the week, our girl did NOT like the sand but by the end of the week, she was walking alongside her daddy collecting seashells like a pro!

 

My lucky hubby caught a crab for his girl!  She loved it!  Of course the crab's name was "Crabby".  Eventually, I was able to talk her into returning Crabby to the ocean to be with his mommy and daddy (and NOT coming home with us!).

We had a lovely week.  It was so nice to be away from everything and for us to have a relaxing, family vacation!

And while we were there we met up with some friends from back home!  It was great to see these cute kiddos playing together on the beach!  We really enjoyed our time with this sweet family!

We had a great time at the beach and cannot wait to go back next year!

 

Celebrating!

We celebrated our girl's birthday all.weekend.long.  And it has been GREAT!

Happy Birthday sweet girl!  You are our greatest blessing and we love you so much!

We feel so privileged to be her parents and have the opportunity to guide her as she grows.  It amazes me at the little girl she is becoming and the baby she is leaving behind.  It is so bittersweet.  She'll always always always be my baby but she is developing such a fun little girl personality!  She is JOY!  She is talkative!  She is happy and kind and a bit of a tornado!  She is silly!  She is sensitive.  She is noisy and she is shy.  She is our girl and we love her so much!

Puppet Show

One of my dearest friends is expecting her second baby and is on bed rest and has been for quite some time.  And she has a 2 year old little girl.  I cannot imagine this combo!

So, to help her out (and to keep my own little rascal occupied); we picked up her little girl for a Girls Morning Out at a puppet show!  If you are in the Atlanta area, I highly recommend going to the Center for Puppetry Arts!  I took the girls to see "The Little Pirate Mermaid" and it was terrific!  My girl was a little apprehensive but her best friend sat beside her completely mesmerized by the whole show!  It was super cute to see the two of them experiencing this together!  Sweet, sweet girls!

 After the really cute puppet show, mommy we decided to treat ourselves to a little pizza for lunch!  The girls ate and chatted (nothing more funny than 2 yr old conversations) then were ready to throw pennies in the fountain outside!  Love these girls!

Love of my life

4 years ago today, I married the love of my life!  My hubby is an incredible man!  He has a heart for God and for our family!  He loves me like I've never been loved before and is the best daddy to our girl!  We have had so many wonderful moments together and I am looking forward to all that God has planned for us in the future!

Rain Rain Away

My girl has learned the song, "Rain, rain, go away" and she LOVES to sing it!  She sings "rain, rain, away" over and over and over again!  Many thanks to Ms. Jamie and the Music Class for this treasure.

Anyway... a few weeks back we had a sweet little summer shower.  The kind where it just rains.  No thunder.  No lightning.  Just wonderful little rain drops.

It was the perfect time for dancing in the rain!


At first she was a little unsure!  It's not everyday Mommy says you can play in the rain!
